Does the Tower have parking?

Parking is available in a private garage with space for 2 vehicles. The garage is located near to the entrance of the tower behind two large grey double doors. The parking and the Tower can be accessed by going down a small cobbled lane which will be signposted City Cruises York or Star Inn the City and will be immediately on your left if you are coming over the bridge or on your right just after costa coffee if you are coming from Museum Street.   The garage entrance is 2530mm in width and 2300mm in height. Internally the garage opens up under the bridge and is able to comfortably accommodate two large vehicles.   The garage is locked by a combination lock and the code will be provided prior to your arrival.

If arriving late, the floodlight in the garage is on a sensor so will come on as you enter.

Is the property close to the train station?

The property is a short 7-10 min walk from the train station.To reach the property, exit the station via the main entrance and turn left on to station rd. Follow the road through a set of traffic lights and continue walking towards Lendal bridge. Cross over the bridge and you will see Lendal Tower to your left on the banks of the river. There are stairs which lead to the front entrance of the tower, however for those who are uneasy on stairs or with large luggage there is a small lane at the end of the bridge which leads towards the Tower's entrance.Taxis are also available at the station and will take roughly 3-5 mins depending on traffic.

What time is check in & check out?

Check in is available from 3pm and check out is at 10am. Whilst we cannot guarantee an early arrival or late check out, it may be possible with prior arrangement.

Where do we collect the keys?

Most guests choose to have a contact free arrival using our key lock box, which is located in the garage, allowing you to arrive at your leisure. Once inside the property you will find two additional sets of keys to use for your stay. As with the garage code, the lock box code will be shared prior to your arrival.   If preferred, a guided tour can also be arranged in advance with a member of the team. This option is available up until 6pm.   If you choose to have a contact free entry but are worried about missing out on any information, fear not, as all the information shared is available on site upon arrival.

Are towels and bed linen included?

All towels and bed linen are included for your stay. Each guest will be provided with a large bath sheet and hand towel, as well as a bathmat per bathroom. If you require additional bedding for the sofabed, we will be happy to provide this with advance notice.

What else is included?

We also provide a starter kit in the form of a range of coffee and teas, as well as a bottle of milk in the fridge, some kitchen roll and dishwasher tabs. All utilities ie gas, electric and water is included within your stay. We also provide each bathroom with a miniature shampoo, shower gel and body lotion, as well as two toilet rolls per bathroom. There is also a large range of cutlery, crockery, glassware and kitchenware provided for you use.

Do you have clothes washing facilities?

The property has a washer dryer available for guest use. We do not supply detergent for this due to the many different requirements of guests.

Is there WiFi?

Yes, complimentary broadband wifi is available through the property. Average speed is around 16Mbps.

Do you have satellite and/or smart TVs?

We have digital freeview on all televisions within the property. They are also smart TVs, so you can connect to your Netflix, Amazon Prime etc accounts if you so wish. Please just remember to sign out of your login before you leave!

Maximum occupancy & sleeping arrangements

The Tower can accommodate up to 6 guests across 3 double bedrooms, however with the sofabed, there is space to for one extra person should this be required. Unfortunately no twin beds are available at the property.

Are pets allowed?

Other than registered guide and hearing dogs belonging to those with visual and/or hearing impairments, no pets are allowed at the property.
